COVID GUIDELINES
IMPORTANT SERVICE NOTES:
During the most unusual moment of our lifetime, we have to take time to consider how the Lord would want us to navigate and operate in a way that is wise, compassionate and considerate of those in our community.
Philippians 2:3-5 seems to sum up best how the Lord would want us to respond to our situation.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interest of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.
We ought to value others above ourselves just as Jesus did. So as a church we are going to do our very best to do just that.
We have to take extra precautions to ensure everyone’s safety and to make sure that we satisfy the guidelines given by the state so that we do not encounter any problems.
- We are asking those who would be willing, to wear a mask when you are not seated. So upon entering and exiting the church or if you get up to go to the bathroom.
- We also have several hand sanitizer stations set up throughout the church. Please make use of the hand sanitizer upon entering church.
- We have masks available for anyone who does not have their own and would like one. They will be available with our greeter at the front door.
- We are asking that anyone not wearing a mask would practice social distancing when possible and be respectful of those you may not know and be sensitive and aware of their comfort levels.
- As much as we want to see every one of you there, if you are not feeling well, please stay home and rest up and catch us online!
- When we serve communion we will have pre-packaged communion cups on your seats. Communion will be at the end of service and we ask that you dispose of your communion cups in the proper receptacles.
- We will also have a giving station set up by the barn door for contactless giving.
- We will have nursery available for children under 4 but you are welcome to have all of your children stay with you if you are uncomfortable putting your child in the nursery. If you are able to let us know ahead of time if you will be utilizing the nursery that will help us with preparations for your little ones:)
- We have little activity packs made up for the children who will be in service and will have them already placed where your family unit will be seated if we know you will be attending.
- We hope these measures are reasonable for everyone and will make for a safe and enjoyable service!
A Welcome from Pastor Joel
What does I61 stand for?
Isaiah 61
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion--
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins
and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations.
