Our  Beliefs

About God:
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe.  He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
These three are co-equal and are one God.
Genesis 1:1, 26-27; 3:22, Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19, 1 Peter 1:2, 2 Corinthians 13:14

About Jesus Christ:
Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  He is equal with the Father and Holy Spirit.  Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross.  He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death.  He ascended to Heaven and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Matthew 1:18-23, Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-5, 14:10-30, Hebrews 4:14-15, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Romans 1:3-4, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Timothy 6:14-15, Titus 2:13

About the Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God.  He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ.
He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation.  He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth,
and guidance in doing what is right.  The Christian seeks to live under His control daily.
2 Corinthians 3:17, John 16:7-13; 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 2:12; 3:16 Ephesians 1:13, Galatians 5:25, Ephesians 5:18

We believe the Bible:
Is the standard rule of faith for all Christians and is God's message for mankind. We believe its inspired words are timeless, providing a guide for all cultures and all generations. Further, we believe the Bible contains no errors; it is the only true, holy standard for measuring faith and conduct. It is God's loving message of redemption offered freely to all mankind for all who would believe and call to Him for Salvation through His Son - Jesus Christ.

The Fall of Man:
Man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26). However, by a voluntary act of the will, Adam and Eve disobeyed God (Genesis 3:6).
That first sin had several repercussions. Man was excommunicated from the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:23),
a curse was pronounced (Genesis 3:14-19), the process of physical death began (Genesis 2:17), and man died spiritually (Romans 5:12-19).
Sin separated humankind from God (Ephesians 2:11-18) and left man in a fallen or sinful condition (Romans 3:23).

About Salvation:
Salvation is a gift from God to humanity.  We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works.
Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can we be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life
and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved.  Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.
Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 14:6; 1:12, Titus 3:5, Galatians 3:26, Romans 5:1; 10:9-10

About Eternity:
Humans were created to exist forever.  We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation.  To be eternally separated from God is Hell.  To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life.  Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
John 3:16, 1 John 2:25; 5:11-13, Romans 6:23, I Corinthians 2:7-9, Revelation 20:15, 2 Corinthians 4:15

About Eternal Security:
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in that salvation for eternity.  Salvation is maintained by the grace
and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian.  It is grace and the keeping power of God that gives this security.
John 10:29, 2 Timothy 1:12, Hebrews 7:25; 10:10-14, 1 Peter 1:3-5

Our Four Core Doctrines:
1] Salvation is only through Jesus Christ, God's Only Son, who provided the supreme sacrifice for sin, (John 3:3, 16, 17; Romans 10:13; Ephesians 2:8,9).
2] Divine healing for the sick as provided in Christ's atoning death on the cross, (James 5:14-16).
3] The second coming of Christ as He returns for those who have accepted Him, (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17; 1 Corinthians 15:51,52).
4] Baptism in the Holy Spirit for the empowering of believers, (Acts 1:8, 2:4, 17, 18, 38, 39).

The Ordinances of the Church:
Baptism in Water.  The Scripture teaches that all who repent and believe in Christ are to be baptized by immersion (Matthew 28:19).
Baptism is a public profession of faith in Christ. It is symbolic of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.
It is a declaration to the world that we have died to sin and have been raised with Christ to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4).

Communion.  The Lord's table consists of two elements: the bread and cup. Those elements are symbolic of the body and blood of Christ.
Communion is a memorial of Christ's sufferings on the cross and a celebration of our salvation.
It is an opportunity for a believer to examine him/her self and experience forgiveness.

The Final Judgement:
There will be a final judgment in which the dead will be resurrected and judged according to their works (Matt. 25:31-46 & Romans 2:1-9).
Everyone whose name is not found written in the Book of Life, along with the devil and his angels, will be consigned to everlasting punishment
in the lake of fire (Rev. 20:11-15).
Those whose names are written in the Book of Life will be resurrected and stand at the judgment seat of Christ to be rewarded for their good deeds
(I Cor. 4:5).

Praise and Worship plays a major role
in our services.
Freedom in worship is accommodated and encouraged. Many will pray and thank God audibly during times of corporate thanksgiving and prayer.
Some will pray silently, expressing little outward emotion, while others will weep openly before the Lord communicating their love and adoration in tears. Regardless of style, each sincere expression is welcomed.

The concept of church was God's idea.
He created it to encourage and help Christians, in order that they might serve Him and accomplish His work on the earth.
We believe the local church is the vital core of effective ministry. Not to be confused with a building or facility,
the church is a network of people committed to fulfilling the work of God.
